2021 Give Back to the Community

More than $35,000 for HUGS!

Thanks to our GCA Members' generous support and outpouring of aloha spirit, families in Hawaii who have a seriously ill child will be able to receive the support and attention they need. GCA Members raised $35,577 for HUGS as part of our 2021 Give Back to the Community program.

For 40 years, HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support) has helped to strengthen thousands of Hawaii’s families who have a seriously ill child up to age 21. HUGS provides comprehensive, long-term support to each member of the family, to ensure they don't have to face their challenges alone, including but not limited to peer support, family events, sibling support, hospital visitation, connection to local community resources, food basket distribution, and airfare assistance.
